About this work
Cloud cover with Mars and Venus as a couple in love, as personification of the South wind (Auster). Venus is accompanied by Amor. They are accompanied by the Meridiës (Noon), depicted as a blowing head without a body. Below on the earth the continent Africa and Summer are personified. On the left in the background a view of Alexandria. On the right in the background the people of Ethiopia. In the margin a four-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin.
