About this work

Christ hangs on the cross. At the foot of the cross Moses and King David (left) and Paul and John the Baptist (right). Around it various references to the resurrection of Christ: above the cross and on the right side an eagle, at the bottom a hen with her chicks, and on the left side a phoenix. In the background the raising of the bronze serpent by Moses. Left and bottom right Bible quotes from Num. 21 and Joh. 1 in Latin.
