Book illustration for the story of the punishment of David (2 Samuel 12: 1-14). King David receives a visit from the prophet Nathan. He tells him a parable to point out his faults. Then he tells David that God will punish him by killing his firstborn. The print contains an inscription with a reference to the corresponding Biblical passage.
