Islamic galley slaves by a fountain

On the right, three Muslim galley slaves stand by a fountain. One of them drinks from the fountain and a second washes his face. In the center, a dog sniffs at a wooden barrel. To the left, four more Muslim galley slaves, one of whom smokes a pipe and another holds a halberd. These enslaved men are identifiable as Muslims by the characteristic hairstyle (shaved head except for a tuft) they were required to wear. Behind them, a galley sails.
