About this work

Andromeda, the daughter of an Ethiopian king, is chained to a rock by the sea, as an offering to a sea monster. Perseus fell in love with her and kills the monster. Amor frees her from the chains. In the margin the title in French, English, German and Dutch. The image is decorated with an ornamental border.
