About this work

Landscape with the female personification of Charity (Caritas), one of the three theological virtues, holding the Christ Child and John the Baptist (as a child) in her arms. Around her two other children. On the left in the background the adoration of the Christ Child by the shepherds. On the right in the background possibly Abraham and the angel (Gen. 22:15-18). In the margin a two-line inscription in Latin. Third print from a series of virtues.
