Allegory on the marriage of William V and Wilhelmina of Prussia in 1767 and the birth of Prince William Frederick on August 24, 1772. Two representations: at the top an allegory in which the princess, standing on a pedestal, is handed the sealed book of marital happiness by Wisdom (Minerva). Also present are Virtue and the city maiden of The Hague. The princess is crowned by Piety. In a smaller representation at the bottom, seven half-naked women (provincial maidens?) dance for Prince William V on the occasion of the birth of Prince William Frederick. On the sheet below the print the dedication to the magistrates of The Hague in a fourteen-line verse.
