About this work
Lycaon (right) attempts to deceive Jupiter (left, with eagle) by slaughtering his son Arcas and offering him as a meal, whereupon Jupiter turns him into a wolf. The king's palace is struck by lightning. In the lower margin a three-line explanation of the scene in French.
