About this work
An angel stands in the middle of a group of shepherds with their flock of sheep. He announces the birth of Christ. Above his head, in the clouds, angels with banners bearing a Latin text. The print has a Latin Bible quotation as an inscription and is the fourth print of a twelve-part series on the birth and early years of Christ.
