Allegorical representation of a monument for the Reformed. On the left a church entrance where various portraits hang. In the opening stands the personification of Faith or the Church, with the trampled Envy and Slander under her feet and in her hand the Bible. Next to Faith stands a personification of Constancy, with a pillar in her hands. On the steps of the church a young woman offers a book with canons, while she holds a shield in her other hand with an image of the Synod of Dordrecht on it. On the left in the foreground two figures burn sheets of paper in the hellfire, on which the words; superstition, heresy, Voltaire and Rousseau stand. In the background among others 'the expulsion from paradise', 'the crucified Christ' and 'Christ's Ascension' can be seen.
