About this work
Abraham raises his sword to kill his son Isaac, who kneels before the altar. However, an angel holds him back. In the background in the forest the ram that Abraham can sacrifice. In the margin a four-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin. Below it a second inscription from Hebrews in Latin.
