About this work
Cloud cover with Boreas (North wind). He is accompanied by Saturn and an eagle. Their feet rest on the North wind (Septentrio), depicted as a blowing head without a body. Below on the earth the North and Winter are personified. On the left in the background a view of Nova Zembla. On the right in the background the people of Norway. In the margin a four-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin.
