About this work
The Polish Jesuit Stanislaus Kostka sits kneeling in a church. He receives Holy Communion (consecrated host and a sip from the chalice) from two angels. In heaven Saint Barbara, holding her attribute, the tower, in her arms, surrounded by angels and cherubim. In the margin a six-line inscription, in two columns, in Latin.
