About this work

Various views of human heads and faces. Sometimes part of the shoulders is also depicted. Some heads have headgear, including a cap, a turban, a crown and a helmet. In other heads the emphasis is on the hairstyle. In the top right, three heads are schematically represented. The print comes from a series of presumably twelve study examples for young artists.
