About this work

Vignette with the portrait of the personified Life in a cartouche decorated with flower garlands. Life sits on a loose wheel and holds the sun and moon in her hands. In the cartouche frame at the top is a clock incorporated above which a putto is blowing bubbles, at the bottom an hourglass is depicted on the head of Father Time. The print is part of a series of book illustrations on virtues and vices.
