About this work
The personification of the good marriage: a yard with a peasant family at the meal. The mother sits under a vine and feeds her children. The father leans on his spade. In the background, a wedding procession is on its way to a church. In the margin, a four-line inscription in two columns in Latin referring to the blessings of marriage. Pendant of a print with a warning against adultery.
