About this work

Emblem with an allegory of architecture depicted as a woman with a set square, compass, and architectural drawing, standing in a niche decorated with ornaments. The curled foliage transitions into the torsos of two boys holding an image of the Tower of Babel and the Tabernacle. The poem on the recto and verso praises architecture.
