About this work

Emblem with an allegory of singing depicted as a woman singing and playing a harp while leaning on a statue of a mermaid or siren. In a landscape, a sailing ship with men at sea near sirens who lure them with their song. The poem on the recto and verso praises singing, among other things, to honor God.
