About this work
The female personification of taste. She is half naked and holds some fruit and vegetables in her left hand. With her right hand she holds an apple against her mouth. Taste is accompanied by a monkey, which is chained to a fruit basket. The print has a Latin inscription. The print is part of a series on the five senses.
