Portrait in oval frame of Henry II of France. Bust to the left. The medallion is surrounded by the female personifications of Asia (bottom left), Europe (bottom right), America (left middle) and Africa (right middle). The personifications have their specific attributes: Europe has the cow and the cornucopia. Asia has the camel and the elephant and carries spices. Africa is surrounded by, among others, a chameleon, an ostrich and a lion. America carries a bow and arrow and is also surrounded by animals, among others a parrot and an armadillo. Above the portrait the liberal arts are practiced, among others geometry and astronomy. Below the print is a cartouche with an image of ships discovering the New World.
