The two right caryatids from the Vierschaal in the Town Hall on the Dam in Amsterdam. They symbolize guilt and repentance. The Vierschaal was a public court of justice used exclusively by the sheriff and aldermen for pronouncing death sentences. Signed in the lower center: D (crossed out). Numbering added by hand in the lower right: XXVIII.
