The two right caryatids from the Vierschaar in the Town Hall on the Dam in Amsterdam. They symbolize guilt and repentance. The Vierschaar was a public court of justice used exclusively by the sheriff and aldermen for pronouncing death sentences. Marked at the bottom center: D.
