About this work

On a square, various wounded - war victims - stand and sit on the left waiting at the entrance of a hospital. On the right, several people on crutches stand in line with a man distributing soup. Below the image a six-line French verse. This print is part of a series of 17 (18 incl. title print) prints depicting various kinds of misery that warfare brings with it.
