About this work
On a triumphal chariot sits the personification of Wealth (Opulentia) with crown and scepter, bags of money under her throne. The chariot is accompanied by personifications of Usury (Usura), Lust (Libido), Treachery (Proditio), and Cunning (Dolus) who ensure that wealth is achieved. Print from a series of nine prints with triumphal chariots from the Antwerp Circumcision procession of 1561. The personifications on the chariots together depict the cycle of human action.
