About this work

Minerva hands the pen to Adriaan de Kramer, who is laurelled by Victoria. Minerva points to an angel, with a cornucopia, and the burning flame symbolizing religious zeal. She is accompanied by Temperance (Temperantia), with a bridle and staff with the all-seeing eye in hand. In the sky an angel blowing a trumpet, to which a banner with the title in Dutch.
