About this work

Commemorative print with the portrait of the writer Johann Arndt. The portrait is set in a medallion held up by three angels. On the right the archangel Michael in combat with the devil and on the left people on their way to heaven. Above the medallion two scrolls with the text: Vici and Vidimus Gloriam Ejus, and above that a crown with the hand of God. In the margin the name, birth and death dates of the sitter and a Latin sentence.
