In a round frame the Iron Age. In the foreground women are besieged by Deceit, War, Strife and Greed. In the background scenes of war. In the clouds Justice hides herself. The print refers to the mythologically inspired idea that during the Iron Age man had to deal with disaster, greed and wickedness. The goddess Justitia leaves the world during this period. The print is part of a series on the four ages.
