King Sardanapal of Assyria amidst his court. Sardanapal sits on a throne and wears women's clothing. A naked woman sits on his lap and shows him a mirror. Another woman combs his hair. On the left, a courting couple. In the background, a couple engages in love in public. In a view to the left in the background, the fate of Sardanapal: his palace is burning.
