About this work
Portrait of the duke as rider in grey-blue armor, on an armored horse. Halberd in left hand. The horse wears a red war cloth with white motifs, trimmed with orange, over a green under-cloth. Top right the reduced coat of arms. In the inscription and in the coat of arms the lost territories of Guelders and Zutphen from 1543 no longer appear.
