About this work

Henry II of France, second son of Francis I, participated in 1542 as field marshal in the south of France in the war against Charles V. King in 1547. Rider in armor on a horse in gallop to the right. Crowned coat of arms with dolphins top right (first state) is replaced by the French royal coat of arms with the Order of St. Michel.
