About this work

Two Biblical scenes. Above: Christ visits Martha and Mary. Mary sits beside him listening. Martha complains to Christ that Mary does not help her. Christ answers that Mary has made the right choice. Below: The scribes have brought an adulterous woman to Christ. Christ writes with his finger on the ground. Below the scenes a reference to the Biblical texts and the titles in Dutch and French.
