About this work
The old Isaac sits in bed and gives his paternal blessing to the kneeling Jacob, who presents himself as Esau. Behind Isaac stands Rebekah with raised finger. On the right in the background is a view of the field where Esau with bow and arrow shoots a deer. Biblical scene from Gen. 27: 22-29 with the title of the scene in six languages in the margin.
