About this work
The old Isaac sits in bed and gives his paternal blessing to the kneeling Jacob, who pretends to be Esau. Behind Isaac stands Rebekka with a raised finger. To the right in the background, a view of the field where Esau shoots a deer with bow and arrow. Biblical scene from Gen. 27:22-29 with the title of the scene in six languages in the margin.
