The Feast of Herod: The executioner hands the platter with the head of John the Baptist to Salome, daughter of Herodias. She looks at it with horror. The banquet hall is filled with guests watching the scene. Illustration of the biblical text Matt. 14:9. Below the image the title in Hebrew, English, German, Latin, French and Dutch.
