About this work

Judah hands over his staff, ring, and bracelet as a pledge to his daughter-in-law Tamar. Tamar sits disguised as a prostitute by a path. Opposite her and behind her stands a fountain. Below the image, a one-line explanation in Latin, Hebrew, English, German, Dutch, and French. Above it, a reference to the biblical text in Genesis 38: 14-18.
