About this work

Mary II Stuart, Queen of England lies dying in bed. Around her her ladies-in-waiting are gathered and two bishops pray at her bed. On the left the king sits on a chair, he is comforted by two other bishops. Belonging to the print is a text sheet with a poem On the deathbed of the queen by Sylvius.
