Bedroom Scene

In a richly decorated bedroom a girl steps into her bed while a group of five elegantly dressed ladies stands laughing. Under the curtain of the bed two feet come out. Next to the bed stand two chairs over which the clothing hangs. Above the fireplace hangs a painting of a satyr spying on the naked Venus. The painting is flanked by two seascapes. This image belongs to a passage from 'De Hollandsche-Lijs, met de Brabandsche-Bely' about how a girl is caught when entering the bed with her lover.
