Emperor Charles V sits on a throne, with an eagle between his feet. The eagle has a ring in its beak to which ropes are attached with which the conquered enemies of the emperor are bound. To the left of the throne stand: Francis I, King of France, Pope Clement VII and the Turkish ruler Süleyman I. On the right side stand the German Protestant princes Philip I, Landgrave of Hesse, the Elector of Saxony and William II, Duke of Guelders, Cleves, Jülich and Berg. The print has a Latin, Spanish and French inscription and is part of a twelve-part series on the victories of Charles V.
