Emperor Charles V sits on a throne, with an eagle between his feet. The eagle holds in its beak a ring to which ropes are attached, binding the conquered enemies of the emperor. To the left of the throne stand: Francis I, King of France, Pope Clement VII and the Turkish prince Süleyman I. On the right side stand the German Protestant princes Philip I, Landgrave of Hesse, Maurice, Elector of Saxony and William II, Duke of Guelders, Cleves, Julich and Berg. The print has a Latin, Spanish and French inscription and is part of a twelve-part series about the victories of Charles V.
