About this work

Six German cities submit to Charles V in 1547 after the Battle of Mühlberg. The leaders of the cities kneel before the throne of Charles V. In their hands the keys to their city. The print has a Latin, Spanish and French inscription and is part of a twelve-part series on the victories of Charles V.
