About this work

Six German cities submit to Charles V in 1547 after the Battle of Mühlberg. The leaders of the cities kneel before the throne of Charles V. In their hands the keys to their city. The print is part of a twelve-part series on the victories of Charles V. It has a separate text strip with a Latin text.
