View of the Steenschuur, a canal in the extension of the Rapenburg, in Leiden after the disaster with the gunpowder ship. On the other side of the water the rubble of the destroyed houses. From the rubble bodies are still being recovered. In the foreground citizens and soldiers are busy helping the wounded.
