About this work

The Babylonian king Nebuchadnezzar on horseback and surrounded by soldiers sees how Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego are miraculously assisted by a fourth figure in the burning furnace, which causes the king to decide to order their rescue. In the background many kneeling figures around the golden image, erected outside the city of Babylon, which the trio refused to worship. Below the image two lines in Latin.
