About this work
In a scene figures stand near a large beehive. Behind it the winged horse Pegasus and Apollo playing a lyre with a rayed crown around his head on Mount Parnassus. The scene surrounded by a cartouche containing a two-line text in Dutch and with flowers and bees on both sides.
