About this work

A monument with the title of Willem Sluiter's book flanked by the personifications of Poetry, holding a pen, and Music, with a lute. At the top, King David, the author of the psalms, plays the harp. His crown stands beside him. At the bottom, an open Bible and three cartouches with texts from the psalms.
