About this work
A fox with a mitre on its head rides a horse. In the tail of the fox a snake and next to it a lamb. The fox holds its foot on an orb. Next to it it has a shield with a stork, symbol for the city of The Hague. Perhaps a satirical print on the practice of politics. At the bottom a four-line verse with an explanation of the image. Page from one of the works of Everhard Meyster. On the back the writer dedicates his book.
