About this work
Fireworks in honor of the Peace of Utrecht, set off on 14 June 1713. By the pond in The Hague a large monument is set up that is decorated with allegorical representations of the peace. Around the monument stands a fence to which the fireworks are attached. In front of the fence stands on a pedestal the Dutch lion that spits fire. A number of men are busy setting off the fireworks. Next to the image a legend of 1-20.
