About this work

Representation in two parts. Above an interior in which a performance with a magic lantern is given at the country fair. Below three men on the way each with a magic lantern on their back; they are referred to in the accompanying verse in a dialogue as: Duydser, Curjeus, and Waaltje. Second print in a series of three consecutive plates about the magic lantern. Belongs to the group of supplementary prints added to the series Tafereel der Dwaasheid with satirical prints on the Windhandel or Actiehandel of 1720.
