About this work
The magic lantern. Depiction in two parts. Above an interior where a performance with the magic lantern is given. Below three men on the road each with a magic lantern on their back, they are indicated in the accompanying verse with a dialogue as: Duydser, Curjeus and Waaltje. From the curtain on which the verses stand, a head now protrudes. Third print in a series of three consecutive plates on the magic lantern. Belongs to the group of supplementary prints added to the series "Tafereel der Dwaasheid" with satirical prints on the Wind Trade or Share Trade of 1720.
