About this work

Allegorical representation of the flood of 14-18 November 1775 as a punishment from God. The Dutch maiden with Bible and anchor prays by a breached dike to God. In the clouds, cherubs and the All-Seeing Eye. At the bottom, a reference to: Page 64.
